Paddle Sports Center

We are so excited to showcase one of our favorite local businesses with you. Paddle Sports Center offers rentals, memberships, camps, lessons, and tours for visitors and local residents. Located in the Santa Barbara Harbor, it is a three-minute walk from shop to sea. The Paddle Sports Center has been Santa Barbara’s premier kayak, SUP, surf rental center for over 25 years!

Fraser Kersey, Co-Founder, and General Manager oversees a dedicated staff, who are some of the most experienced water-men and mermaids around. With locations in the Santa Barbara Harbor, Goleta Beach Park, and Ledbetter Beach, access to some of the most beautiful views anywhere in the world, are yours to experience.

Paddle Sports Center Co-Founders conceived of the paddling membership, designed and implemented in 2010.  They have a program that has you the paddler in mind.  Paddle during your lunch break, before/after work, or on the weekend.  This is your alternative to the gym, it is your outdoor fitness center.  Just think, instead of lines to get on treadmills, you have dolphins & whales swimming alongside you! This photo (courtesy of Channel Island Outfitters and PSC) gives you a peek at where you can find yourself anytime you wish.

Everything you need is at your fingertips. Come to see the American Riviera on a once in a lifetime adventure or a daily inspiration. Paddle Sports Center has everything you need to get in the water.

Good2Go

We are so excited to share one of our absolute favorite protein bars with you. Good2Go Organic Protein Bars, G2G. Niki and I are always on the Go. Up at 4:30 am, prayers and meditation, enjoying a cup of coffee, setting our intentions and not stopping until we collapse around 8 or 9 pm, everyday! So, when we need to fuel up G2G bars are our go too. I feel confident about putting the quality ingredients Good2Go use into to my body. Not only are the ingredients the highest quality, but they are also delicious.

Not only are Niki and I fans of G2G Bars, but Eleanor also loves them too.

Be Present. Be CALM

calm-new

Something we feel strongly about, is supporting different organizations around the country. One of them that we have recently learned more about is CALM. CALM’s prevention programs across Santa Barbara county help parents and children heal from their traumatic pasts. Raising our voices for the safety and well-being of our children will always be top priority for us.

On Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 11:30-1:00, CALM will hold their annual luncheon, CALM at heart.  The event will take place at the Coral Casino, Four Seasons Biltmore, in Montecito, California.

The event is to raise funds to support CALM’s vital child abuse prevention and treatment programs at CALM.  This years theme, Awakening, honors the mindful work CALM therapists do with children and families.  Guests will enjoy an afternoon of music and keynote speaker, Dr. Jennifer Freed, all while enjoying a two-course lunch and panoramic ocean views.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here,  and any further questions can be answered at 805-965-2376.

California Love

My love for California changes all of the time.  Some days it’s too expensive, some days it’s just right, and some days I can’t make up my mind.  But, ultimately it really is a good place.  I mean, the fresh veggies year round, the weather is pretty much always warm, and the number one thing, the ocean.  Besides the one mild earthquake I’ve experienced, nothing REALLY is that bad. Oh and the people, I haven’t quite figured them out, but that’s ok, everyone is kind of in their own world anyways.

So to show our true love for Cali, and my new home, here are a couple fun tees and sweatshirts I brought into the shop…
