LOVE THREADS

Welcome to LOVE THREADS. A mom-made boutique created while Eleanor was still inside mommy’s tummy. The shops very first click happened in Vero Beach, Florida where we had gone on the wings of a prayer and the hopes of a miracle happening. The miracle happened, (one of many too come) and we were blessed with a little girl. Today, LOVE THREADS is a flourishing boutique offering contemporary women’s clothing and accessories. The inspiration for this post is to share some of the behind the scenes activities that drive the entrepreneurial spirit of this amazing woman.

Showcasing a few new arrivals to the store, hundreds of hours are spent filling orders, updating the sight, working on emails and social media all while being a mom and providing a fun loving, stable and secure home for Eleanor.

Being a business owner is a twenty four hour job, but if you love what you do you never work a day in your life. The rewards of creating a successful business, (from scratch) is the confidence that anything is possible. The greatest sense of accomplishment derives from overcoming the challenges that stand in the way of your dreams.

Herbal Remedies+Fashion

I wanted to introduce to you our newest addition to Love Threads, our apothecary section. I strongly believe in everything fashionable, and that even includes how we take care of ourselves.  I’ve used all of our products that we are carrying, for a long while before adding them to our shop.  So I stand strongly behind them.

Our health is what will keep us going for a long, long time. There is nothing more beautiful than a healthy, glowing, strong woman. Instead of taking multiple supplements everyday, all you have to do is have a cup of one of our Moon Juice dusts, a spritz of our gypsy rose mist, and tend to your dosha, with a spritz of one of our Ayurveda mists.

Having a clean, fashionable lifestyle, has given me more gratitude for life. I have a clearer head, more energy (hello, to anyone with kiddos or works obscene hours), and my overall body, just feels good!

Below, I have shared some our newest products.  If you get a chance, pop over to our site to see, and read more in depth about them.

Peace~~~

health // coconut banana bread

Processed with VSCOcam with m5 preset

One of my favorite things I like to do, now that I stay home with Eleanor, is bake.  Although, when I cut out all refined sugar in December, my baking subsided.  I have been researching nonstop since then for healthy, yet still delicious, breads and sweets to make. I’ve mentioned before that this site is one of my favorites! Not only does Ashley have a way to make healthy living look enjoyable, but she also has a lot of great recipes.

I’m the type of person that when I bake, it seems to disappear pretty quickly. Ha! So, I really need to be conscious of what I’m baking.  I decided to make Ashley’s coconut banana bread, and it was amazing! I hope you love it as much as I did.

Coconut Banana Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together with a hand mixer or counter mixer, the first 4 ingredients.  Then, add in the next 7 ingredients. Pour into a lined 9×3 loaf pan. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can spray the loaf pan with coconut spray. Sprinkle walnuts over the top, before placing in oven. Bake for 55-60 minutes.  Insert toothpick in the center, when it comes out clean, it’s done!

So easy and so yummy!  Enjoy!

Here is another healthy banana bread recipe I posted a while back. Also yummy!

Local health:sun potion

FULL_MOON_PINE_POLLEN_POTION_2048x2048 new

I mean, it’s no wonder the beauty industry is a billion dollar industry.  If I had a billion dollars, I’d probably spend it all on health and beauty products. Ha! Lets just say, I have a soft spot for product.

Recently, I came across a local company, to Santa Barbara, called Sun Potion. Sun Potion, is a company full of super foods, and tonic herbs.  Their products are perfect. They seem to put every bit of love that they have into their products. I’ve been purchasing mine from Lazy Acres, if you’re not local, you can purchase them here. It’s all about clean, holistic living. Conscious sourcing, something we all could learn a little more about.  Here is a small blurb from their website, that sums the company up nicely…” Our intention is to deeply nourish and activate the whole body, mind, and spirit with  these Transformational Foods.”

If this is a new area for you, take it slowly, and please do your research.  This is not for everyone.  However, I do believe this lifestyle is a safe, healthy one.
