Fall Is Here!

Fall is here, well in most parts of the country anyway. Santa Barbara, has a little bit of a warmer Fall than most places, but it’s still Fall in my mind. I’m from the Midwest, and this will always be one of my favorite seasons.

I decorated the porch on Sept 29th, I couldn’t wait. I’m sure my neighbors think I’m crazy, but that’s OK. Halloween is right around the corner. YAY!!

The shop has so many new Fall arrivals, and I wanted to share a few with you. Also, some fun pictures from this last week.

Keeping it simple

Sorry it’s been a little quiet over here, just trying to stay up on life. (wink wink)

We have been adding so many arrivals to the shop, and loving every single one of them. I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older, that I tend to pick out the more simple pieces for my wardrobe. I also seem to gravitate towards black and white.  Anyone else feel this way?

Below is one of my favorite pieces that we just received. It’s our Park Slope sweater, lightweight, and so comfy.

Come on, Fall!

blogblk cardiblog1cherry blossomdresstua top1We are anxiously awaiting Fall, here in California.  It’s been REAL warm.  I do like it, but at the same time, I also like brisk mornings and chilly nights.  That being said, Love Threads has a few new Fall arrivals, that are definitely worth checking out…

Yup, it’s that time of year when making soup is probably what you should be doing. Ha! We are! Comfort food has always found a way to my heart.  Must be the Nebraska in me.  Now, if only we had a fireplace.

I love that Dave and I are both homebodies, me more than him, but nonetheless we both enjoy home cooked meals.  Here are a few soups we plan on making soon.

Fall food

pins of the weekI’ve really been into cooking at home lately.  The weather is cooling down, and I feel like Fall is really here.  Comfort food is where it’s at for us right now. Anything I can bake or make in a skillet sounds delightful.  I found the salad above that reminded me of Fall, so I added it with all of my comfort dishes. ha!

spaghetti squash and kale gratin/pasta with butternut sauce, spicy sausage and baby spinach/

spicy three bean chicken salad/simple sesame chicken skillet/

soba noodles + ginger tahini with crispy kale, shallots and romaine
